• Non-native speakers of English are required to take and pass the English Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and the Writing Proficiency Test (WPT). Contact the Language Testing International Center. Monmouth University's School of Education requires a copy of the proficiency certificates for both the OPI and WPT.
• This Certificate does not lead to the NJDOE ESL Endorsement.

1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree with a minimum 3.0 overall in the undergraduate major.
2. A passing score for the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) in the English Language for non-native speakers of English.
