In courses numbered 300 it is presumed that the student has taken 202 (Intermediate) or placed into the 300 level with the world languages placement exam to assure adequate communicative facility in the world language
A native speaker may be exempt from taking FS-300A Advanced Spanish Conversation and Oral Discourse (3 cr.) upon consultation with the Chair of the Department. The student may substitute any FS-300+ course to fulfill the three credit requirement.
These 6 credits are in addition to the General Education requirements. Courses taken in these areas to fulfill a General Education requirement will not also fulfill this Interdisciplinary Requirement for the Major.
